Val-de-Charmey

Vorlage:Infobox Ort in der Schweiz Val-de-Charmey ist der Name einer durch einen Gemeindezusammenschluss von Cerniat und Charmey entstandenen Gemeinde im Kanton Freiburg in der Schweiz. Geographie

Nachbargemeinden sind: Bas-Intyamon, Botterens, Broc, Châtel-sur-Montsalvens, Corbières, Crésuz, Grandvillard, Greyerz, Hauteville, Jaun, La Roche, Plaffeien und Plasselb im Kanton Freiburg sowie Château-d’Oex und Rougemont im Kanton Waadt und Saanen im Kanton Bern. Geschichte

Als Fusionspartner waren ursprünglich die vier Gemeinden Cerniat, Charmey, Châtel-sur-Montsalvens und Crésuz vorgesehen. Diese Fusion wurde jedoch von der Bevölkerung abgelehnt.<ref>Gemäss angekündigten Änderungen zum Amtlichen Gemeindeverzeichnis vom 17. Juni 2010.</ref> Das Fusionsprojekt wurde in der Folge auf die Gemeinden Cerniat und Charmey begrenzt und bei den dortigen Abstimmungen mit über 60 Prozent der Stimmen angenommen und auf den 1. Januar 2014 realisiert.

Seit 2012 gehört die Gemeinde zum Parc naturel régional Gruyère Pays-d’Enhaut.

Bevölkerung

Mit Vorlage:Str replace Einwohnern (Stand {{#iferror:{{#invoke:Vorlage:FormatDate|Execute}}|Vorlage:FormatDate/Wartung/Error}}) gehört Val-de-Charmey zu den mittelgrossen Gemeinden des Kantons Freiburg. Die beiden ehemaligen Gemeinden Cerniat und Charmey zählten 1900 zusammen 1960 Einwohner. Nach einem Höchststand im Jahr 1920 (2070 Einwohner) nahm die Bevölkerung durch Abwanderung bis 1980 auf 1502 Personen ab. Verkehr

Charmey liegt an der Hauptstrasse 189 von Bulle nach Jaun. Kurz vor Charmey zweigt davon eine Nebenstrasse ab, die über Cerniat zur Kartause La Valsainte führt. Durch Buslinien der Transports publics Fribourgeois, die von Gruyère bzw. Freiburg nach Jaun führen, ist Charmey an das Netz des öffentlichen Verkehrs angeschlossen. Ab Charmey verkehrt ein Bus von Postauto über Cerniat zur Kartause La Valsainte.<ref>Vorlage:Internetquelle</ref>
