Die Diphosphomevalonat-Decarboxylase (MDDase) ist das Enzym, das in den meisten Lebewesen die Umwandlung von Diphosphomevalonat zum Isopentenyldiphosphat katalysiert. In Eukaryoten ist diese Reaktion Teil der Biosynthese der Isoprenoide, speziell in Tieren Teil der Cholesterinbiosynthese.
