Die Snookerweltmeisterschaft 2010 fand vom 17. April bis zum 3. Mai 2010 im Crucible Theatre in Sheffield statt und bildete den Abschluss der Snooker-Saison 2009/10. Weltmeister wurde Neil Robertson nach einem 18:13 im Finale gegen Graeme Dott. Damit gewann er den Titel als erster Nicht-Europäer seit Cliff Thorburn 1980.
Titelverteidiger war der Schotte John Higgins. Vor dem Finale der WM wurde vom Boulevardblatt News of the World eine Wettaffäre aufgedeckt, in deren Folge Higgins eine sechsmonatige Sperre erhielt.

Hauptrunde
Mit 60 Century Breaks während dieser Weltmeisterschaft wurde der Rekord aus dem Jahr 2009 (83 Centuries) nicht verbessert. Das höchste Break in der Hauptrunde wurde mit 146 Punkten sowohl von Mark Allen und von Graeme Dott erreicht. John Higgins’ Break von 115 Punkten im Achtelfinale war sein 100. Century Break im Crucible Theatre. Graeme Dott erreichte mit acht Century Breaks die höchste Anzahl.
