Leben

Gliwenko studierte in Moskau und wirkte von 1928 bis zu seinem Tod als Professor am dortigen Pädagogischen Institut „Karl Liebknecht“.<ref>Eckart Menzler-Trott: Logic's lost genius. The life of Gerhard Gentzen (= History of Mathematics. Vol. 33). American Mathematical Society u. a., Providence RI 2007, ISBN 978-0-8218-3550-0 (Link zu Google Books).</ref> In der Mathematik widmete er seine Forschungen den Grundlagen der Mathematik, der Wahrscheinlichkeitstheorie und der konstruktiven Logik.
