Wissenswertes

Das Album setzt sich hauptsächlich aus ruhigeren Titeln zusammen. Imitation of Life wurde 2001 zu einem Sommer-Radio-Hit, dem hohe Chartpositionen jedoch verwehrt blieben.<ref name="ZEIT">Konrad Heidkamp: Das glückliche Moll. In: Die Zeit, Nr. 21/2001</ref>

Kritik

Die Kritiken waren hauptsächlich positiv. Joachim Gauger von laut.de berichtete von „traumhaften Songs“ und einer „traumhaften Melancholie für einen lauen Sommerabend“.<ref>laut.de</ref> Für Konrad Heidkamp war das Album ein „Meisterstück“; die Band habe „das Versprechen der magischen Verbindung aus Enigma, Rock-Mainstream und Kunst erfüllt.“<ref name="ZEIT" /> Matthias Eisen von cdstarts.de meinte, dass es auch mit Reveal gelungen sei, eine „gute und innovativ-atmosphärische Platte abzuliefern“.<ref>cdstarts.de</ref> Bei metacritic.com erreichte das Album einen Durchschnitt von 76 Punkten, basierend auf 20 Reviews.<ref>metacritic.com</ref>
