Leben

Solowjow unterrichtete am Sankt Petersburger Konservatorium. Er komponierte Opern, Orchesterwerke, Lieder und Klavierstücke. Zu seinen Schülern zählten u. a. die russische Komponistin und Pianistin Leokadia Kaschperowa, der russische Gitarrist und Gitarrenlehrer Alexei Nikolaewitsch Menschow (1873–1893)<ref>Josef Zuth: Handbuch der Laute und Gitarre. Verlag der Zeitschrift für die Gitarre (Anton Goll), Wien 1926 (1928), S. 193.</ref> und der polnische Komponist Roman Statkowski.
