Schulmann war Verfasser populärwissenschaftlicher hebräischer Werke über Weltgeschichte, jüdische (Gelehrten)Geschichte sowie allgemeine Geographie und Übersetzer von Klassikern wie Werken von Flavius Josephus, aber auch von Roman-Bestsellern, wie z. B. von Eugène Sue.
