Das U.S. Census Bureau hat bei der Volkszählung 2020 eine Einwohnerzahl von 38.301<ref name="CEN"/> ermittelt. Der Verwaltungssitz (County Seat) ist Aberdeen.
Geographie
Das County hat eine Fläche von 4484 Quadratkilometern; davon sind 47 Quadratkilometer (1,05 Prozent) Wasserflächen.
Geschichte
Das County wurde am 22. Februar 1879 gebildet und die Verwaltung am 14. September 1880 abschließend organisiert.
