Blende (Mineralogie)
Blende ist ein in der Mineralogie seit dem 16. Jahrhundert belegter Bergmannsbegriff für Mineralien und Erze, die aufgrund ihres Gewichts und Glanzes einen hohen Metallgehalt vermuten ließen, der aber wegen der damaligen Analyse- und Verhüttungstechniken nicht gewinnbar war.
