Baratol ist ein Sprengstoff aus 25 bis 33 % TNT, Bariumnitrat sowie etwa 1 % Wachs als Bindemittel. Die Dichte beträgt 2,5 g/cm³.<ref name="Explosives – Compounds">Explosives – Compounds</ref>
