Geographie

Assago liegt im Südwesten des Großraums Mailand etwa 8 km von der Innenstadt der lombardischen Metropole entfernt. Das Gemeindegebiet grenzt neben Mailand an Buccinasco, Zibido San Giacomo, und Rozzano. Zur Gemeinde gehören auch die Fraktionen Bazzana Sant’Ilario, Bazzanella, Cascina Venina und Milanofiori.
