Überlastung (Schach)

Von einer Überlastung spricht man im Schach, wenn ein Stein nicht gleichzeitig zwei Deckungsaufgaben bewältigen kann. Daraus entstehen oftmals Kombinationsmotive.

Schwarz am Zug

In Diagramm 1 deckt der weiße Bauer auf g2 den Springer auf f3 und den Bauer auf h3.

Nach 1. … Lxh3 holt sich Schwarz auf 2. gxh3 die geopferte Figur mittels Dxf3 zurück. Der weiße Bauer war überlastet.

In Diagramm 2 deckt die schwarze Dame das Mattfeld e8 und den Turm auf c7. Nach
1. Dxc7 verbietet sich Dxc7 wegen 2. Te8#. Die schwarze Dame ist überlastet.

In dieser Stellung aus einer Partie Krasenkow – Karpow zog Karpow 29. … Te1!.

Der weiße Turm auf f1 muss nun zum einen den Bauern auf f3 decken (es droht Dxf3#), gleichzeitig aber den König vor dem schwarzen Turm auf e1 abschirmen. Mit dieser Doppelaufgabe ist der weiße Turm heillos überfordert. Folgerichtig gab Krasenkow die Partie an diesem Punkt auf.
