Bei der Volkszählung im Jahr 2020 hatte Washington County 61.302 Einwohner und eine Bevölkerungsdichte von 28,5 Einwohnern pro Quadratkilometer. Der Verwaltungssitz (County Seat) ist seit 1994 Fort Edward; davor war es Hudson Falls.

Geschichte

Das County wurde am 12. März 1772 als Charlotte County aus Albany County gebildet. 1784 wurde es umbenannt in Washington County, nach US-Präsident George Washington.
