In der Zeitschrift werden Artikel über Aspekte der Ökologie von Pflanzen und Algen veröffentlicht. Zusätzlich werden auch Themen über Biogeochemie, Ökologie der Mikroorganismen, Klimawandel, oder Symbiosen behandelt.
