Die British Commonwealth Games 1974 waren die zehnte Ausgabe jener Veranstaltung, die heute unter dem Namen Commonwealth Games bekannt ist. Sie fanden vom 24. Januar bis 2. Februar 1974 in der neuseeländischen Stadt Christchurch statt.<ref>Christchurch, New Zealand. Abgerufen am 2. November 2024 (). </ref>

Ausgetragen wurden 121 Wettbewerbe in den Sportarten Badminton, Bowls, Boxen, Gewichtheben, Leichtathletik, Radfahren, Ringen, Schießen und Schwimmen (inkl. Wasserspringen). Es nahmen 1276 Sportler aus 38 Ländern teil. Hauptwettkampfort war der Queen Elizabeth II Park.

Aus Anlass dieser Spiele gab es in Neuseeland erstmals Fernsehübertragungen in Farbe.
