== Biografie ==
Nachdem Otway das Christ Church College in Oxford ohne Abschluss verlassen hatte, versuchte er sich als Dramatiker in London. Otways ''The History and Fall of Caius Marius'' (1680) adaptiert [[William Shakespeare]]s Tragödie ''[[Romeo und Julia]].''
