Stephen Fuchs kam 1934 nach [[Indore]] in Zentralindien, wo er sich nach Sprachstudien besonders der Erforschung der Stämme widmete. In seinem Werk ''Rebellious Prophets'' (1965) untersuchte er messianische Bewegungen in indischen Religionen.<br />
