Paul Lereim stammt aus einer Priesterfamilie. Er studierte Medizin in [[Innsbruck]] und [[Kiel]] und war danach der letzte Direktor des orthopädische Spezialkrankenhauses Sophies Minde in [[Oslo]]. Paul Lereim ist einer der chirurgisch-orthopädischen Pioniere in Norwegen und bekannt für schwierigste Knie- und Hüftgelenksersatz-Operationen.<br />
