Natalia Rybczynski arbeitet für das [[Canadian Museum of Nature]] und hat eine Professur an der Carleton University in [[Ottawa]] inne. Ihren Doktorgrad erlangte sie im Jahr 2003 an der [[Duke University]] mit dem Dissertationsthema ''Evolution of Wood-cutting in Castorids''. Ihr Schwerpunkt liegt in der evolutionären funktionalen Morphology, teilweise im polaren Klima. Sie wurde durch die Entdeckung eines arktischen Kamels bekannt, welches einen [[Missing Link]] zwischen der Urform und dem neuzeitlichen Kamel darstellt. Rybczynskis Team entdeckte auch 2007 die Seelöwenart ''[[Puijila darwini]]'' auf [[Devon Island]] in der kanadischen Arktis. Rybczynski wirkte auch an Untersuchungen über die Zahnstruktur und das Kauverhalten der frühen Säugetierart ''[[Suminia getmanovi]]'' mit.
